Stein; Gate first released in April 06, 2011, making the anime series now over 10 years old officially! So congrats on the series for remaining relevant a decade after its original release. For those who haven’t watched the series before, Steins;Gate is an intense psychological thriller that involves time travel and a megalomaniac lead character who talks to himself. Is he crazy? Yes. But is he crazy crazy? Still yes. Nonetheless, the events that take place in the show are real, and really dark. It isn’t a show for the lighthearted. Steins;Gate is for folks that want to watch something intense and dramatic that makes you think and question everything. If you’re wondering where to watch Steins;Gate, it is currently streaming on Hulu in English Sub, Crunchyroll in English Sub, and Funimation in English Dub or Sub. It is currently not available on Netflix in the US. Helpful hint, if you haven’t watched the show yet, I’d heavily consider the Sub. Certainly, the Dub is “alright”, but I find the main character’s pace and rhythm of speech rather annoying. Perhaps, you’ll like it though. Is Steins;Gate finished or coming back?
Steins;Gate is finished. The series concluded back in 2011 with episode 24, titled Achievement Point, released on September 14, 2011. The episode concluded the main storyline of the series. Although episode 24 concluded the main storyline, on February 22, 2012, an OVA titled Egotistic Poriomania gave us an epilogue for the events that took place two months after the main storyline ended. Finally, an alternate version of episode 24 was released on December 2, 2015. Given that we have already received the Epilogue as well as an alternate ending, there really isn’t any new ground to cover with the series. We can safely close the book on this one.
Will there be a Season 3 of Steins; Gate?
No, there will not be a Season 3 of Steins;Gate. No announcement for a Season 3 has been made. As we know the series concluded after Season 2 and Episode 24. Additionally, we already know the events that take place after the series ended thanks to the OVA episode 25. Did you enjoy Season 2 of Steins; Gate? Leave us a comment below to let us know!
