Towering over the attendees of the CCXP in Brazil is a giant replica of Balrog and it shows how terrifying the creature is from The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Balrog’s presence also teases the horrors that may come in the next installments of the franchise. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’s booth also brings a Númenórean ship to Brazil at CCXP for the attendees to see the vessel up close and get a taste of what the Númenórean culture is through their means of transportation.

During the Second Age, those who know about the lore of J.R.R. Tolkien expect that the Dwarves awakened Balrog from his stone prison. It is called Durin’s Bane because when it was released, the monster killed Durin VI but that was in the Third Age, though. The series focused on making Balrog a bigger evil who emerged when the Dwarves started to become greedy in the exploration of Mithril, a metal lighter and stronger than the others, that the Dwarves dug too deep to awaken the fiery monster. With Balrog being the main star of the CCXP for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Season 1 may not be the last time the fiery creature would be seen so expect more of him in the upcoming Season 2.
