While it can be argued that Episode VI isn’t exactly the strongest entry in the Skywalker saga, it still had its redeeming qualities and iconic moments that have stood the test of them — including Luke’s battle with Emperor Palpatine, and of course, Anakin’s redemption arc. Now, Star Wars is set to celebrate the film’s 40th anniversary next year with the release of a series of one-shots, beginning in February. The official Star Wars website (via ComicBook) announced that a Return of the Jedi one-shot spinoff featuring the notorious Jabba the Hutt will hit comic book stores early next year. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Jabba’s Palace #1 puts the spotlight on the iconic original trilogy baddie and while Marvel Comics has yet to announce other projects from the series, it would be safe to say that other characters from the 1983 classic (and that includes the polarizing Ewoks) will also be immortalized in upcoming issues.
