While Endgame’s monumental reign would ultimately be “snapped” by James Cameron’s Avatar, the MCU epic still holds a pretty impressive record no Hollywood film has been able to repeat since — and that is the biggest opening box office earnings of any film in existence with an astonishing $1.2 billion. Now, the directors of the Infinity Saga’s conclusion Joe and Anthony Russo believe that the fourth Avengers film will continue to hold on to the said record.Speaking with Variety, one-half of the directing duo expressed his confidence in the 2019 blockbuster’s opening box office being unbeatable. Joe explains: “It will never happen again. That was an apex of that era of theatrical filmmaking.
