In an interview on The Guardian back in 1999, Winslet made a comment on why she never wants to work with the Avatar creator again:
Interestingly, seeing as Winslet is back on a project with Cameron again, it is only natural that the actress should clarify what she meant before. The actress is quick to address on The Graham Norton Show that given the passing time since Titanic, she had admittedly outgrown a lot of what happened between them. Check out her full quote below:

The actress continues on to say how the working environment on the Avatar: The Way of Water set is “so much fun”, “really collaborative”, and “super experimental” that she could do it over and over again.
It would seem that whatever ‘beef’ Kate Winslet had with James Cameron previously, both have managed to act civil, which is no surprise since it’s inevitable of working in the same industry. In fact, Cameron was very much aware of the immense pressure the actress had experienced working on Titanic, as he had addressed on Radio Times:
