Here’s what we know about the future of The Walking Dead series:
Do Rick and Michonne Return in The Walking Dead Finale?
When Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reedus) rode his motorcycle off into the distance in the season finale, many thought that would be the last scene they’ll remember. And for a split-second, that seemed to be it as the screen faded to black. But then, a match was lit and fans were given a treat as two crowd favorite characters made their return on screen. The scene gives a short glimpse into the upcoming The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne spinoff series that will be on AMC in 2023. So yes, Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (played by Danai Gurira) return to The Walking Dead series for a brief moment before their own spinoff show gets released.

In the finale episode of TWD, the 90-minute finish was actually a precursor for the six spinoff shows that are coming next. For starters, the show is getting ready to release Fear the Walking Dead Season 8. The show premiered in 2015 and is slated to release the 8th season in 2023. Another The Walking Dead spinoff series is The Walking Dead: World Beyond has already aired on AMC. Apart from these two titles, there are four new shows to look forward to.
