The Peripheral follows Flynne Fisher who lives with her brother, Burton, a marine veteran, and their mother whose health declines each day. Set in the small town of Blue Ridge Mountains in year 2032, the siblings look for ways to earn extra money for their mother’s medication. This is where they encounter playing simulations, or Sims, in short. Flynne gets a shot in trying a new Sim which is set in the future where she steals a valuable secret from the Research Institute in London. However, Flynne notices something on the Sim – it’s too realistic. People of the future are hunting her down for the information that she stole and she discovers her very own future and an alternate reality. Chloë Grace Moretz is Flynne Fisher, and Jack Reynor is Burton. The cast of The Peripheral includes Gary Carr as Wilf Netherton, Melinda Page Hamilton as Ella Fisher, JJ Feild as Lev Zubov, T’Nia Miller as Cherise Nuland, Katie Leung as Ash, Louis Herthum as Corbell Pickett, and Chris Coy as Jasper Baker. Also in the cast are Julian Moore-Cook as Ossian, Alex Hernandez as Tommy Constantine, Austin Rising as Leon, Adelind Horan as Billy Ann Baker, Charlotte Riley as Aelita West, Eli Goree as Conner Penske, Amber Rose Revah as Grace, and Alexandra Billings as Detective Ainsley Lowbeer.
