A special TV program “Eiichiro Oda’s House Room Tour Find Best Buy SP” aired recently on Fuji TV, and it featured Oda giving a tour of his house to the program’s host (via Comic Natalie). As expected, his house is filled with lots of One Piece goodies, and a whole lot more. Specifically, four Japanese talents who are big fans of One Piece were given a tour of Oda’s home. Along with the tour, Oda also shared some insight into his creative process. For fans online, the highlight of the program is no doubt his impressive house. Inside Oda’s home, there’s a range of collectibles, including lots of pirate guns. As expected, Oda also has lots of notebooks with sketches and notes about One Piece’s story. While fans weren’t able to see the contents of his notebooks, Oda’s special bathtub with a dragon statue was shown. The craziness doesn’t stop there though. Aside from One Piece items, Oda also has lots of crazy stuff. Among them are a giant grenade, a life-sized statue of Bruce Lee, and even a giraffe. It’s not clear exactly why Oda has all these crazy items, but it does paint a picture of how Oda’s mind works and how he comes up with all the creative stuff in the series. Oda also proved that he’s living the otaku dream as he splurged on a virtual waifu. Eiichiro Oda’s house tour showed that the One Piece creator lives in a wacky home, but it seems fitting, After all, pirates love collecting treasure.
